- We accept donations at the shop during our regular business hours. After hours, drop off your donations at the Church of St. John the Divine reception desk. If you are interested in having your donations picked up, call us, we will schedule a time to come get them.
- We will be closed for the Labor Day Holiday Weekend Saturday Sept. 4th and Monday Sept. 6th.
- If you would like to receive e-mail updates on consignment restrictions and news, please send Kathy Popham an e-mail at kathy@theguildshop.org.
- In September we will not be taking hanging clothing or accessories on Mondays (only Wed., Fri., and Sat.). In addition, we will not be taking any hanging clothes on Wednesday Sept. 8th. Accessories include belts, shoes, purses and hats. We will take purses and shoes August 18, 20, and 21 only. We are taking fall/transitional clothing now.
- Household take-in this month excludes these items:
- Floor lamps and table lamps
- Colored or clear decorative glass (drinking glasses are okay).
- Single Chairs
- Luggage
- Please check our no-take list for items we do not take on a regular basis. Click here to go to the list.
- We will accept Christmas or holiday jewelry consignments during regular consignment hours through October 15 (even after the regular jewelry cut-off date). These pieces will be IN ADDITION to any regular jewelry consignments. They will be held for display until November 1st.
- The consignment dates in Sept. will be M, W, F and S, Sept. 1st through Sept. 20th.
- Jewelry will be accepted Sept. 1st, 3rd and 8th ONLY.
- Art (one piece each time) will be accepted on Wednesdays Sept. 1st, 8th and 15th. Please be sure all art is wired on the back. Mirrors must be wired like pictures. Due to a lack of wall space, any art that is over 3'x3' must be approved by our Art Chairperson.
- Furniture consignments, as always, are by appointment only. Our furniture chairperson can be reached at 713-528-5095. She is available to take appointments on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
- FAST TRACK CONSIGNMENT is now available -
- You may use the FAST TRACK line if:
- You do not have hanging clothes
- You have completely filled out and signed the computer version of the appropriate contract You must have a copy.
- You have stickered all items with your account number, placed items in a household bin, and put all jewelry in a ZIP-LOCK bag with a sticker on the bag and your contract inside. Do not place stickers on your individual jewelry pieces.
For your safety and ours, we ask that no consignors go behind the consignor desk for any reason. The Guild Shop staff will be responsible for carrying your things behind the counter.
Due to the large number of consignments we are receiving, the quality/condition of your items is VERY important. Any inexpensive items in poor condition will be donated or discarded. PLEASE carefully inspect ALL of your items before consigning to avoid disappointment. Clothing must be stain free (check armpits and collars, too). It must be in style and in good condition. Anything not meeting these strict requirements will be given to charity or thrown away.
