Estate and Moving Sales are managed by appointment. Please call 713-528-5095 ext. 101. to set-up an appointment.
Consignments
There are consignment rules and a formal agreement between The Guild Shop and Consignors. Please read the agreement carefully (click Contract for additional contract terms) and follow the rules to avoid any misunderstandings:
On occasion, the Guild quits taking consignments earlier and will post this on the door, in the store, and/or on our phone messaging system. It is recommended that consignors call the shop before visiting to consign to ensure space availability.
PRICING:
While your input and suggestions are welcome on pricing, it is the Guild Shop's exclusive right to price all items. The Guild Shop determines the sales price on all merchandise in our store. No items will be priced at the time of consignment.
The Guild Shop commission schedule is 2/3 of the sales price to the consignor and 1/3 to the Guild Shop. Our proceeds go to charity.
The minimum selling price for all consignments is $4.50 for items in good condition. Items priced under $60 cannot be reclaimed. Consignor agrees to pay 10% of the original price in order to pick up any items priced at $60 and over, prior to the items being impounded.
In order to turn inventory, The Guild Shop automatically reduces prices on all goods at a predetermined time interval. If consigned goods do not sell in a predetermined time period, the goods become property of The Guild Shop.
Consignors must put white stickers with their account number on all items left for consignment.
QUANTITIES
There are four departments to which you can consign: Clothing, Furniture, Household, and Jewelry.
Customers may bring five clothing, five household (bricabrac) and/or five jewelry items per day. With a maximum of 20 items per department per week.
Customers may consign art on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Art is considered part of your household items. All artwork must be wired to hang.
Customers may consign a maximum of 5 furniture items and 5 rugs per week.
Customers may not consign for others on the same day.
If a consignment contains more than the above stated limits, the extra items will be considered donations.
