The Guild Shop is blessed with over 150 committed volunteers who enrich our community by ministering to our customers and each other.

Men and women from different backgrounds, religious affiliations, ages (high schoolers to elders), and knowledge of collectibles, have discovered the joy of serving others while learning about objects that run the gamut from kitchy to antique! Volunteers have a broad range of interests and talents which are put to use as sales people, pricers and researchers, cashiers, merchandisers and more. Volunteers are asked to serve one three-hour shift each week. Training is provided on the job and requires no additional time commitment.

What Makes The Guild Shop So Special?

Our mission is: To enrich the community as a Christian ministry and resale shop dedicated
to awarding financial support to organizations that serve the elderly in need.

Our community is large and includes shoppers and consignors of all socio-economic backgrounds, the elderly receiving financial assistance at St. James House, and our volunteers, of course!

We provide fellowship, support and encouragement to one another and we recognize the importance of our volunteers who help model at our annual Style Show and who are recognized at events throughout the year.

The Guild Shop is a special place to volunteer because you:

  • Learn about jewelry, collectibles, home furnishings and more
  • Fellowship with volunteers and customers
  • Discover the joy of serving others.
